The Programming committee organizes and facilitates programs and events that meet UIAAAN’s mission to provide a space where interested Asian American alumni can contribute to and become involved with the University of Illinois, other alumni, and the broader Asian American community.
The Director of Programming shall assist the President and develop and/or improve budget neutral programs and activities for UIAAAN members and recruits. The Director of Programming shall serve as the chairperson of the Programming Committee. At the President’s request, the Director of Programming shall write an annual report.
The Director’s detailed responsibilities include: Coordinate and administer programs and events, manage the programming budget, assist with raising funds, and interact directly with all stakeholders; plan and deliver programs and activities and set the short and long-term goals; recruit and select well-qualified program staff, interns, and volunteers in consultation with the UIAAAN board.
